Meet The Team
Dan Doherty - Managing Director
Dan Doherty understands the aspirations of small teams and small businesses and fast growing enterprises. With a background in roles as regional managing director and chief executive in leading financial institutions - including subsidiaries of The Halifax - and the consumer and personal finance sectors, he set up Cadence seven years ago already vastly experienced in running small units within large organisations. An entrepreneur through and through, he has also set up and run several small and micro businesses, of which Cadence Market Strategy and affiliate Cadence People Strategy are but two.
His instincts for and wide-ranging skills in working with companies of this size have led him, and his colleagues at Cadence, to take on clients from international blue-chips to small and hungry, locally-based service organisations. Across this range he has conceived, managed and directed award-winning PR campaigns in fields such as healthcare, diversity at work, anti-ageism in the workplace, corporate community programmes, medical insurance, employment surveys, rebrands, Internet and consumer attitudes.
Dan is published worldwide across human resources, business, Internet and health matters. Since helping to form Cadence Market Strategy Dan has worked on client programmes in recruitment, human and animal healthcare, several market-leading technology clients, an executive resourcing business, chartered accountants, high-tech office solutions, wholesale, leisure and not-for-profit organisations. He also provides strategic counsel and crisis management services across the consultancy’s diverse client base.
A member of various professional bodies throughout his career, Dan has been a finalist in the Excellence in Leadership Awards with the Industrial Society. He is also very proud to be a Liveryman in the Worshipful Company of Marketors, the City Livery Company for leaders in marketing. His personal affinity with London was crowned in 2005 when he was made a Freeman of the City of London.
Neil Fullbrook - Director
Veterinary practice management, financial services, property, compliance, Neil Fullbrook’s management background before he came to public relations was varied and eventful. But when he decided to move into PR, he plunged enthusiastically into the deep end that is ethical pharmaceuticals, moving on to major consumer brands and then directing people, accounts and campaigns across a vast spectrum of industries and issues from air-conditioning to zoonoses, from the UK to America and beyond.
Something that’s driven much of Neil’s success is his skills and experience in working with and for small and medium sized businesses, as well as running smaller units within large organisations. Working with big clients that work with small businesses adds another dimension, too, in terms of developing a consistency of voice and message when it comes to communicating between the two types of organisation.
Everyone has their strengths, and Neil’s are media contact and relationship building – consumer, specialist, charity and technical; even foreign broadcast. But he’s not a one-trick pony. He’s also skilled at: - Project management - Media relations - Promotional development and delivery - Consumer interest - Creative PR solutions and global campaigns - Strategic alliances - Journalism
And under his expert hand, Cadence has successfully conducted campaigns around employer of choice, corporate acquisition, professional opinion-former development, consumer campaigns, healthcare finance, business management, environmental, regeneration and IT.
Neil offers wide-ranging marketing and PR support to Business Uncovered and our members and is always on hand to help with the trickiest of communications challenges.
