MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS
By taking out a membership with Business Uncovered Ltd ('Business Uncovered'), you (the 'Client') have agreed to work under the terms and conditions set out below.
Memberships are for individuals nominated by the company. Memberships for more than one individual in the same company are available on request.
The Client understands that in order to become a member of Business Uncovered he or she will need to film a short introduction clip outlining their business (the 'Introduction Clip').
Business Uncovered will arrange a mutually convenient date, time and location for the Client to attend the filming of the Introduction Clip.
The time slot for the filming of each Introduction Clip will be one hour. The Client will be entitled to redo the clip as many times as necessary within this time slot. The Introduction Clip will not, however, be edited so it will need to be delivered in one go.
Once your filming date has been confirmed with Business Uncovered, the Client shall be aware that a cancellation charge of £55 per clip will be invoiced should they choose to change their confirmed filming date. In
the event that Business Uncovered receives less than 24 hours' notice of a cancellation, the cost of each Introduction Clip cancelled will be immediately due and payable in full.
The cost to the client for Enterprise Membership will be £450 plus VAT and payment is due immediately upon confirmation. This covers filming, your page within the Business Uncovered website and also your membership
for the year. Business Uncovered is a membership organisation and as such if you choose to renew your membership after the first year, payment will be £225 if paid in full or £20 per month over 12 months.
The cost to the Client for Executive Membership will be £650 plus VAT and payment is due immediately upon confirmation. This covers filming, your page within the Business Uncovered website and also your membership
for the year. Business Uncovered is a membership organisation and as such if you choose to renew your membership after the first year, payment will be £325 if paid in full or £28.75 per month over 12 months.
Payment is due immediately upon confirmation and can either be made by BACS or a Cheque, or with a Credit Card on the Business Uncovered secure PayPal site. Please note that all feasible security measure are in place.
If, at the filming of the Introduction Clip, the Client feels unhappy with their clip and does not wish to proceed after all, they are under no obligation to do so, however, they accept that no refund will be available.
During the filming of your clip, the Client will get the chance to view their clip and will be asked to sign a Business Uncovered sign-off form stating that they are happy with their clip.
If, following this, the Client decides they are not happy with it and wish to re-shoot, they understand that this will be considered a brand new clip and will be charged accordingly
The Client understands that the Introduction Clip is for them to market by means of sending to clients or prospective clients, sending as back-up to quotes or tenders for instance, and that Business Uncovered will support the client by uploading the clip onto the BU site, giving the client their own page, membership log-in details and use of their own keyword searches within the site.
The Client also agrees to either upload the clip in full onto their website with the following wording: 'Produced by Business Uncovered.com' or should have a link direct to their page within www.businessuncovered.com; suggested wording for the link would be 'See my video clip here'.
The Introduction Clip will contain the words: 'Produced by BusinessUncovered.com' (or similar) on the title page underneath the Client's name and company name. The Client understands that if they would like this removed, the clip will be charged at DVD rates and they should ask for a quote for this.
The Introduction Clip must only ever be reproduced, copied or distributed in its entirety, exactly as it is provided by Business Uncovered to the Client.
Membership will include the Client's clip being added to the Business Uncovered website so they will be found by other potential clients. If the Client does not wish to appear on the BU site's directory, then they will
understand that their film clip will be considered a one off service and charged accordingly.
Business Uncoveredagrees to upload the Introduction Clip onto the BU website www.businessuncovered.com. Business Uncovered reserves the right to remove the Introduction Clip from that website at any time, upon
receipt of any complaint or, if the Introduction Clip is deemed unsuitable
In the event that Business Uncovered exercises its right to remove the Introduction Clip from its website, the Client shall be informed and hereby agrees to immediately remove any link and reference to Business Uncovered's website placed on the Client's website. The Client agrees that at this point Membership will be terminated.
The Client acknowledges that the copyright of each Introduction Clip shall belong to and remain the property of Business Uncovered.
The client is aware that this introduction Clip is just one part of the membership.
A detailed breakdown of each membership level can be found of the 'Membership' page of the www.businessuncovered.com website.
The other areas of membership include but are not restricted to Workshops, Master classes, 'How to' sessions, Networking events. Business Uncovered has the right to cancel any of these events at any time.
Business Uncovered will from time to time amend the above Terms and Conditions where it sees fit without notice or liability.
Business Uncovered retains the right to amend the website, search facility or domain name at any time without notice or liability.
Business Uncovered agrees to give notice to its members of any changes it considers will affect the Client's membership with reasonable notice.
Business Uncovered will keep members up-to-date with progress, developments and events mostly by email. If any member wishes to unsubscribe to this, they can do at any stage but they realise that as a result they may not be informed of any changes or developments within the company and that this may affect their membership.
Members have the right to offer a Members' Perk; the Members' Perks page can be found under their member's log-in area. This is not mandatory.
Business Uncovered accepts no responsibility for either the misuse of these benefits or for those benefits changing. It is the responsibility of each member to ensure they are carried out as stated.
Business Uncovered retains the right to work on the site from time to time, and during these periods film clips and information may run slower than usual.
Business Uncovered retains the right to take the website down at any point - however, where possible, members will be informed and given reasonable notice
In the event that Business Uncovered Ltd is sold or changes hands, details of members will be passed to the new owners and responsibility for the continuation of the memberships will be with the new owners.
Business Uncovered will not accept responsibility for any damage or loss to its members as a result of their membership. Membership to BU is taken solely at the risk of the Client.
Any members found to be in breach of these Terms & Conditions will be removed from the site and their membership terminated with immediate effect.
Each member will receive their own username and password for the site enabling them to update their own page information and photographs. Misuse of this area will result in Business Uncovered taking away the right for the member to alter their own details and may result in membership being cancelled
The ethos of BU is that the personality behind each company should be promoted and the user agrees to use this site responsibility, in a friendly and courteous manner at all times.
Business Uncovered processes all personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and, more specifically, in accordance with their Data Protection Policy. BU cannot accept responsibility for processing conducted by the Client outside the contract and/or these Terms and Conditions.
Business Uncovered will not accept responsibility for anyone using the site in an unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful manner.
These Terms and Conditions are specifically for the Business Uncovered website and membership.
The site has links to every member where appropriate/possible and once entering a member's site, Business Uncovered Terms & Conditions cease to exist and the user will be subject to the Terms & Conditions of the new
site. Business Uncovered accepts no liability for the content of those members' sites that are linked to its website.
These Terms & Condition's will be governed by English law and disputes dealt with by English courts
ONE-OFF SERVICES TERMS & CONDITIONS
INTRODUCTION CLIP
By engaging Business Uncovered Ltd ('Business Uncovered') to produce a one-off service with you (the 'Client') you have agreed to work under the terms set out below.
Memberships are for individuals nominated by the company. Memberships for more than one individual are available on request.
Film Clips
The Client engages Business Uncovered to produce a 60 to 90-second film clip of the Client to contain an introduction and outline of the Client's business (the 'Introduction Clip')
Business Uncovered will arrange a mutually convenient date, time and location for the Client to attend the filming of the Introduction Clip.
The time slot for the filming of each Introduction Clip will be one hour. The Client will be entitled to redo the clip as many times as necessary within this time slot. The Introduction Clip will not, however, be edited so it will need to be delivered in one go.

The cost to the Client will be quoted on request to take into consideration venues and filming costs as these costs are subject to change in various parts of the country.

If, at the filming of the Introduction Clip, the Client feels unhappy with the clip and does not wish to proceed after all, they are under no obligation to do so; however, they accept that no refund will be available.
During the filming of the clip, the Client will get the chance to see it played back and at the end will be asked to sign a Business Uncovered sign-off form stating that they are happy with their clip.
If, following this, the Client decides they are not happy with the finished clip and wish to re-shoot, they understand that this will be considered a brand new clip and will be charged accordingly
The Client understands that the Introduction Clip is for them to use and market as they see fit, either by embedding it onto their website, e-mailing it to clients/prospective clients, sending as back-up to quotes or
tenders etc. Business Uncovered cannot accept any liability for this processing of the Client's personal data.
The Introduction Clip will contain the words: 'Produced by BusinessUncovered.com' (or similar) on the title page underneath the Client's name and company name. The Client understands that if they would like this removed, the clip will be charged at DVD rates and they should ask for a quote for this.
The Introduction Clip must only ever be reproduced, copied or distributed in its entirety, exactly as it is provided by Business Uncovered to the Client.
Business uncovered also carries out other one-off services such as:
Podcasting
Event Management
Marketing Material
Corporate DVDs
Corporate Photography
Training Videos
Mystery Shopping
e-newsletter production and maintenance
and when the Client engages Business Uncovered to do so they are also subject to the above Terms & Conditions.
The cost to the client will be quoted on request to take into consideration venues and contractors (if used) as these costs are subject to change in various parts of the country.
Any contractors used by Business Uncovered will be considered by Business Uncovered to be trustworthy, professional and able to deliver to the exact requirements of the Client.
Business Uncovered will therefore do everything possible to work with the contractor and the Client to ensure work is carried out smoothly and effectively.
Where Business Uncovered simply refers a Contractor to the Client, Business Uncovered will not be held responsible for any wrong doing or acts of unprofessionalism. This includes any processing of the personal data by the Contractor outside the contract between the Client and Business Uncovered.
These Terms & Conditions will be governed by English law and any conflicts will be dealt with by English courts.
